House Building In Nepal

The heroes have returned!

Vince and Jamie Prior, intrepid volunteers, returned to the U.K.  just before Christmas, having completed their target of building a house for one Nepalese family and assisted in the building of five others.

It is envisaged that there will soon be an opportunity for our adventurers to talk directly to parishioners  and share some of their experiences as well as show  pictures of the project in process and the families being helped

In the meantime here are a few photos and a short report from Vince and Jamie to give you an idea of this amazing experience

Mission accomplished!

We returned exhausted after a short but intensive trip to a village in Eastern Nepal.  19 willing pairs of hands made all the difference and we were able to complete one house and help with the build on 5 others.  Handing over the completed house to the proud homeowners, a family of four, a week before Christmas was a very moving experience.

The houses are built with local materials and the cost of building materials is c. £600 per house.  So your donations go a long way and really do make a difference.

Thank you again for your support.
